That was only a one-year deal to avoid arbitration, homey. They are still going to let him walk next year.
You're right. Another year with him is worse than one without him. :/

I know, I know, I should calm down. I was just so amped to watch him play for the next 10 years.

I've said it on twitter, but that article over the weekend coupled with them continually extending their "no fee weekend" for the last 4 weeks tells me that ticket sales have been abysmal and Henry might be getting cold feet on turning into the Devil Rays.

Interesting... I hadn't thought of it that way, but it makes perfect sense, especially considering ownership in Boston seems to be treating it as if he's being "let go" purely for the stuff he did in Houston and leaving the Boston video stuff out of it.

This is purely my speculation, but I've always thought they had some kind of arrangement like this with Valentine.

The Red Sox have had a good run but yeah it will be weird without a baseball team in Boston anymore

I was already basically as down on them as possible before this happened so I’ve just been kind of Lloyd Brauning this thing.

Really seems like a Betts trade before 2/1 is looking more and more likely.

My guts still tell me that Henry doesn’t have the balls to do this in the end.

Welp, the smear campaign has started so I think it’s pretty safe to say Mookie is gone.
