So what is the working theory? No idea. Something like that honestly wouldn't surprise me because of the (often disgusting) nature of sports fandom, but I would never just assume that to be the case. It certainly seems like, whatever the motive, it was clearly intentional.E.H. Ruddock wrote:So what is the working theory? welp. Now the lawyer for the accuser is stepping down because he apparently doesn't believe the mother's story of how she found the evidence bag.

Well, the mother's story does sound absurd. Like that would be hard to pull off in a movie and make it seem believable. It was a good, professional move by the lawyer to step down.

Also sounds like the accuser's friend isn't going to testify because she's not sure she believes the story any more.E.H. Ruddock wrote:welp. Now the lawyer for the accuser is stepping down because he apparently doesn't believe the mother's story of how she found the evidence bag.

Non-Kaner question, but Bruins related so don't read any further if you'd prefer to talk about the first topic or not talk about the second.
Could the Bs LTIR both Chara and Seidenberg and then take on more money against the cap? Seems like a good idea at this point and a way to circumvent the shitty situation.

I actually googled around some things out of curiosity from your post, and this whole article pretty much came true, though Kane did get back in time for the first series of the playoffs I believeelliseamos wrote:didn'tthe hawks do this last year with vermette?MattA75 wrote:Yes, but the problem becomes when 1 or both of those guys come back you're pretty much fuckedelliseamos wrote:Non-Kaner question, but Bruins related so don't read any further if you'd prefer to talk about the first topic or not talk about the second.

The idea that the salary cap doesn't count in the playoffs is just BEGGING to be abused...I'm kind of shocked in took this long for a team to take advantage of that
Also, the Bruins situation is quite different, as there's no way they could possibly claim Seidenberg is going to be out until at least the playoffs when the season hasn't even started yet

That's what pissed me off the most about the way the Bruin's season ended. They could have landed vermette and been over the cap, but Neely vetoed it.MattA75 wrote:I actually googled around some things out of curiosity from your post, and this whole article pretty much came true, though Kane did get back in time for the first series of the playoffs I believeelliseamos wrote:didn'tthe hawks do this last year with vermette?MattA75 wrote:Yes, but the problem becomes when 1 or both of those guys come back you're pretty much fuckedelliseamos wrote:Non-Kaner question, but Bruins related so don't read any further if you'd prefer to talk about the first topic or not talk about the second.

You really wanted them to give up a first round pick for a rental? That team wasn't going anywhereelliseamos wrote:That's what pissed me off the most about the way the Bruin's season ended.
