Probably just studio banter between songs.
I’m choosing to believe they are actual raps.
According to this post, these are clips of Neil (present day) talking about the songs and performances: https://www.reddit.com/r/neilyoung/comm ... _thoughts/
is he spitting hot fire or just talking?
All I know is what’s in that Reddit post.

Also, apparently it’s going to come to streaming when the box set sells out. So if anyone has $500 to spare, please order one.

Within the past half hour, downloads are now available for people who preordered the archives, so we’re getting somewhere.

Oh don't be silly.

This version of Razor Love alone is reason enough to at least sample a bit of it.

Oh there’s definitely great stuff throughout, didn’t mean to imply otherwise. But it feels like there’s a lot more combing that has to be done to find the gems.
I will comb through the wreckage for you.

How do you think your avatar guy feels about archives 3?
I imagine he's going to skip straight to the previously unreleased live version of Powderfinger, and then yep, you guessed it:
Spoiler: show

My hot take:

I regret buying the CD version of this box. I wasn't aware that so much of the material was going to be audience and boombox recordings. Far more of it is superfluous or one-and-done than I initially expected.

Downloading the advance hi-res version was a nightmare. First day was a bust, took all day the next day with failures left and right, and there are bursts of white noise in some of the tracks that I'm sure will take another delay to fix. Found three examples so far and one of them is Razor Love.

Slow clap.

Some times, there's just too much music.

Respect the hell out of him for committing to this bit though!

Honestly, for real, I didn’t know Soulseek was still a thing.

I'm a little weary of the digital files I got, but I'm going to give them a go on my run tomorrow.

Leave out the songs with white noise errors because you will arrive home deaf.

I’m enjoying
Raining in paradise
Big Pearl
If u got love

And all the others off Johnnys island

Also the 80s originals of razor love and silver and gold later re-recorded in 2000 :luv:
