Actress Emma Kenney, who played Roseanne's granddaughter on the reboot, tweeted that she was in the process of quitting the show when she found out that it had been canceled. "I feel so empowered by @iamwandasykes, Channing Dungey and those at ABC standing up against abuse of power and lack of values. Bullies do not win. Ever," she tweeted. (Kenney later deleted this.)

None of this is surprising though. This is kind of why I never took the show seriously as some thought provoking and unique approach to fighting liberalism. She's a nut job.

Uh, I absolutely did not. Part of what made it interesting was that both liberal and conservative voices were so genuinely and playfully represented.

Yeah, but I think knowing Roseanne's business taints the efforts of the show to be fair and balanced. It just came off as creepy and disingenuous to me. And bizarre...like the final episodes of the original series.
Give me the episodes from 1987-1991 and then get the fuck out.

Update: A Russian journalist faked his death yesterday to help Ukrainian authorities catch the death squad sent to kill him. And then he went on TV and spoke calmly about the whole thing. So Tom Cruise is definitely not done making movies yet.
