Fox wanted to shoot the movie in Wales in Technicolor, but it was impossible to do so during World War II. Instead, Ford had the studio build an 80-acre authentic replica of a Welsh mining town at Brent's Crags (subsequently Crags Country Club) in the Santa Monica Mountains near Malibu, California.

I like black and white movies as much as the next guy but I was pretty disappointed when I put on How Green Was My Valley and it wasn't in brilliant Technicolor but black and white.

What is it about Power of the Dog that compels RMers to watch it in baby-bite-size chunks. ghost watched it 25 minutes at a time at the gym and now tree is pausing it sixteen minutes in to post about how good it is
