Tennessee finally mandated a stay at home order yesterday. Literally every business around our clinic is still open and traffic is very typical for a lunch time Friday. Wondering what is considered essential, I discover that anyone selling goods to anyone deemed an essential worker can stay open. So, in the state of Tennessee, EVERYTHING can stay open.

Working at home has been absolute hell.

first it comes to the coasts
then it strikes the heartland, where people skew old (all the young hip people moved to cities for young hip jobs) and less healthy (weaker healthcare, generally less affluent so can't pay for healthcare, and/or GOP took away they healthcare)
everyone seems to underestimate this thing until its too late
that happened in NY/NJ and it looks poised to happen everywhere else

My brother just let me know that someone we know has the 'VID, is hospitalized, and is intubated. Won't be long now before we all know someone in that situation. Anyway, happy Friday!
