There is a slaughterhouse about 40-45 minutes away, but I'm not sure if they sell to the public anymore. They used to, but a few things changed when ownership changed a couple years back. There was talk of them not selling to the public, but I've not been there since the change. There WAS a butcher shop a few years ago but they couldn't get enough business to stay open. They've been closed for 3-4 years now. It's now a used car lot...

Meat wise, one of the mom & pops have traditionally been the best meat in town, but Kroger's fresh meat case has some quality meat in it, too.
The Kroger's near my in-laws old place in NC was surprisingly good. Their butcher might have hangar steaks.
kroger, which is Ralphs here has great steaks whereas the safeway/vons is rubbish..i buy skirt steak quite often as well
Yea, skirt is my #2 after hangar. We should eat together sometime.
I'm definitely gonna try both of those if they have them. I do know they've not had either in their fresh case. At least not in the 2-3 years we've been shopping there.

Looks like tonight is a cereal night. It's gonna be late when I get home and work was enough of a bitch, I don't feel like cooking.

Actually, a new flavor of Cheerios I'd never seen. Pumpkin Spice. I'm excited to try it.

You've seen me. If it wasn't for the new flavor of Cheerios, I would be eating fruity pebbles.

I actually don't like Cocoa puffs. I dig on the Cocoa krispies though. The best rice crispy treats in the world are made with Coco krispies. Once you go black you never go back. I ask for that every year for my birthday instead of a cake.

i've done it as long as I can remember..i like it in a tall plastic cup..drinking the milk at the end is so much easier than putting your mouth to a bowl and slurping...the cereal distribution is better as well...stays colder longer imo....
