I feel like his content doesn't live up to his somewhat smug attitude or video titles. I find those videos interesting, but I don't know much about the technical side of music.

Yeah, I fully agree. And he has a tendency to fall into the tired old "grrr modern music bad" thing as well. To me he's the least insightful of the music theory YouTubers
