6 tracks under 3:32. Bit worrying but the 1:13 track sounds like it's either a bridging track (Pry, To, AyeD) or a collage track (PMPM). It's not something that PJ does often and both those albums are better for their inclusion.

Agreed. I don't mind short tracks, or even punk, if there's something clever about the album's construction and a bit of art and / or humour in there. But wow, they don't usually do humour very well. Johnny Guitar is possibly the funniest they've been since Vitalogy.

"In The Time Of Man" was also one of those Backspacer working titles along with Cigarette Song pt 1 and 2, etc. As was "Shift".

I actually like the idea of going back to old bits of songs and reworking them. The thing I most crave out of PJ these days, I suppose, is familiarity. If it sounds like the (good) old PJ I know and love I'll probably like it. It seems like they go wrong when they try to do new things these days. That whole New Wave thing... I dunno, R.E.M would've done it well, not so much PJ.

They all sound like very PJ titles. I really hope these are legit.

I wonder why they left Navy Bean off the new record..

I wonder if they left 'Ole' off because it 'didn't fit' (arbitrary decision), or because it wasn't good enough (preferable, but I'm not sure if I trust their taste these days).

They probably released it because they never intended it for the next record.
