Is Ed really going to go to the funeral in LA on the 26th and then fly to Amsterdam for a concert the following night? That seems super emotionally and physically draining.

Certainly draining, but possibly a more proactive way of dealing with grief than retreating to his surfing. My hat's off to him if he can keep it together on stage.
