what kind of giardiniera do you use?

coincidently, i was talking to a friend last night and blurted out how al's beef is the most overrated beef in the city. the giardiniera is super bland with no big chunks of crunchy celery, carrot, or green olives. f' them.
Right now, I have this stuff leftover from Xmas, when we served beefs for lunch. Is Marconi the best shelf brand?

i like that stuff too. i also usually pick up a jar whenever i'm at JP Graziano in the west loop (best italian sub in the city).

my only problem is storage -- you have to refrigerate it, which clumps the oil.

I keep meaning to get to JP's for the Italian. I've been searching to replace the one from Santullo's in Wicker Park; it was perfect.

Leftover Italian beef.

TJ’s giardiniera is too chunky.

I was waiting for that. I almost edited the post to say "good work, friend" instead. Jus to avoid the possible confusion.

Because here's the thing... I don't really care what people think of me. As long as they don't think I endorse well done steak.

Greek yogurt with vanilla protein powder, peanut butter powder, and chia seeds.
Apple
Maybe popcorn or carrots. Or save those for an afternoon snack.
