Turns out if you are willing to engage in street violence like this, you tend to be far more chaotic than the average person. These sorts of events are magnets for weirdos, regardless of political orientation. Its probably not good for the weirdos to 'win' these sorts of altercations, they already have more than enough encouragement.

when you see that many people pushing up the steps and loitering around, you need to have a large group of security officers / national guard standing by inside and out. They could have avoided the incursion.

These things have the effect of reinforcing the walls between rulers and the citizens. Patriot Acts are being justified. The cage is closing.
