I'm happy if you just want to forfeit. The less competition the sooner I am the undisputed champion. Not that you ever were competition...

Are you going to consider this a vanquish if I forfeit?

Marathon on
Feb. 9th.
Gonna do a proper Daniels plan based on VDOT.
Then
this at the end of March. A really fun ultra.
Summer was brutal and I'm a shitbag right now.

That March one looks cool. I have to laugh when I see the insane elevation profiles on some of these races... My elevation gain for my 50K was (drumroll) 297 feet.

I set a record for fastest 1km yesterday. 4:03. What are your guys records?

I haven't a clue, I would guess somewhere between 2:45 and 3:15.
When I was at my fastest, I'd do 5:20 mile repeats and ~2:40 800Ms.
I've never actually raced a 5K or 10K.

Got my email with race day details for mount desert island next weekend. It's sad I'm not going knowing I was on track but I'm also happy my wife is doing big things with her career and needs to be home right now.

Good to see Mo win Chicago, but that course is dreadfully boring.
I don't see the attraction to that race beyond the prize money for elites.

The fear of gun violence typically shaves a few seconds off the elite runners mile times.
