We demanded an explanation from Thom about how he personally feels even though he wasn't interested.

We don't like his answer because it's neutral commentary on polarizing and manipulative discourse.

Now we're gonna prove him right by grandstanding and trolling and accusing him of waiting too long and making it all about the personal feelings we demanded to know about.

I just came in here to post "I don't belong here*" in response to the thread title. Then I saw it's all about Thom Yorke and Israel/Palestine. So I'll just post "I don't belong here**" and move on.


* in reference to the song "How to Disappear Completely" but in an ironic twist because I don't love radiohead

** in the same ironic reference but with the added verisimilitude that the argument here, namely Thom Yorke is a self-involved whiner, is the reason I don't love radiohead. That and they gave up on the guitars and got super dull as a result.

A big point he is making which I agree with is not everybody has to hold an expert opinion on everything, especially not artists, and on complex geopolitical issues. Just let Thom be an artist. He's not running for government. People are fucking mad, and that never changes, and that's the sound of his art.

Kid A and Amnesiac are actually pretty decent so maybe I'll refine my statement to "they started just emailing each other snippets and pro toolsing them into boring frankenstein songs".
