I'm little disappointed no one has mentioned that Mac Davis died yesterday.
I can't be the only one here to grow up with a lot of 70s & 80s country music playing on the radio in the house. He had a few hits of his own (Baby Don't Get Hooked on Me, It's Hard to be Humble) but wrote songs for others, including one of my Elvis favorites In the Ghetto.
