John Jeremiah Sullivan has an excellent essay about Axl that can be found in a collection called Pulphead. I recommend it in audiobook form. I was in the shower this morning with the radio on. The shower drowned out enough of the song that I didn't know who or what it was, but it sounded like a piglet yelling for his lost mother. Turned off the shower..... Arcade Fire.

One of my favorite bars (now closed) had Zuma on their jukebox. "Barstool Blues" fit almost any mood in that place. Fond memories.
