bullshit I'm vastly superior to him. I could even make music better than he does and I don't even know how to make music.

Sure, but if he confronted you about it you'd probably immediately fold and end up telling him you couldn't wait to see him make music with Mel Brooks

Yeah that cover is not good. I’m sure he’s a competent musician (I don’t know any of his other work) but samplers and loopers and Garage Band type programs have made it way easier to be a “musician”

Yeah, this was one of those things were you think for just a moment "not all people are shit".

Two and a Half Men's Conchata Ferrell, even though she's done a bunch of other stuff.
Sometimes confused her with Camryn Manheim, despite a 15 year age difference.

Using a looper makes him less of a musician? What a garbage take. Yikes.

Simmer down. That's not too bad.

I just think the Panama one wasn't good. i still think loopers, etc. can be crutches but he used it effectively on this one.

maybe not, but the pool of good musicians will be diluted with the mediocre.

To me a "good musician" is someone who makes good music -- which really just means "music I enjoy" -- so whether they made that good music by taking the "easy" route of sampling or they went to a conservatory is irrelevant. So I disagree with that take
