My guess is tonight involves another draw finish, and then at the PPV both guys pin Reigns at the same time, and then one gets the WWE and the other the World title.

Aside from a couple of pointless filler matches, tonight was pretty excellent!

The GM announcements didn't disappoint. Foley was a great surprise, and even though I was slightly expecting/hoping for Bryan as Smackdown GM it was still a glorious moment. And that pop! Wow, what a reception. Comes back as GM and he's still the most over guy on the show :haha:

The 12-man tag was fun stuff, but the pre-match promos were so much fun. Enzo is just unbelievable on the mic, so much charisma and his insults are silly and hilarious. Love that dude.

Main event was pretty good, hated the ending. I don't mind a dusty finish, but this one always makes everyone look stupid. Why did the ref have to see the replays to make up his mind? He counted the three-count to begin with, so in that moment he was obviously counting for a reason. He was counting someone's shoulders to the mat. Who counts for absolutely no reason? He counted to three, so he should have known who he thought the winner was. Then, someone should have got involved and argued that both guys' shoulders were down and shown the replay. Instead, everyone was arguing and confused like this had never ever happened before. It was retarded.

I'm ok with a finish like that if it's done correctly, but there was no build to it at all. This isn't exactly the same but the finish Punk and Bryan did a few years back would have worked better here.

Picking Charlotte in the second round is like when someone picks a kicker in the 2nd round of a fantasy football draft.

people will tune in to see a shitstain heel potentially lose to a face. current champion is a great pick IMO. I think her mic work could use some lessons but she's really good for the roster

The Smackdown roster is kind of odd, they have no women or tag teams, but drafted Becky Lynch and American Alpha. There must be some more guys coming in the next few weeks.

This almost actually makes me mad. It's totally not fair to Bayley to watch every other girl in NXT get called up before her.

You can't really judge this brand split until it's had a few months to play out, but I'm kind of baffled this far. I thought the rosters would have distinct identities, but that didn't happen. They basically split the rosters down the middle. I didn't realize until they started drafting people like Big Show and Corbin so high that they do NOT have the depth to pull this off right now. They called up some people from NXT that just aren't close to being ready for live TV, Nia Jax will make Dana Brooke look like Shawn Michaels.

Nia definitely needed to stay in NXT for a while, Alexa is ready and if they arent going to push her to the NXT title then they needed to move her up. i wonder if Emma could be the mystery partner for Sasha, i dont think it should be Bailey because she is still going towards the Title there, so bringing her up doesnt make a ton of sense yet.

the biggest disappointment from the draft for me is that they didnt put all the Women on one show and all the Tag teams on the other, they are obviously planning to have 2 more titles created now, and thats truly where the lack of depth will be felt.

Yeah the way the divisions were split up confused me too. It seems like they didn't actually think this thing out, which would mean they have nothing planned going forward, which means this is likely to be a disaster that results in Smackdown being a wasteland B show.

Predictions for tonight:

US Title: Rusev
IC Title: Miz
Owens/Zayn: Zayn
Women's Tag: Sasha and mystery partner(I'm predicting a blast from the past like Trish or Lita, Bayley makes way too much sense here so that won't happen)
Club/Cena&Enzo&Cass: Cena & Enzo and Cass
Wyatts/New Day: New Day(should be Wyatts tho)
Triple Threat Title Match: Ambrose and Rollins both either pin or submit Reigns simultaneously, leading to the belts being split.

I am not the biggest Enzo and Cass fans, even though I get how over they are. But "Always lie on your resume" was fantastic advice.

I'm glad the main event finished cleanly with no shenanigans. What do we think happens next? I imagine either Shane or Bryan appears on Raw tomorrow and says their top guy can face Ambrose at Summer Slam, then we see a variation of that each PPV as the belt bouncea between Raw and Smackdown.

I thought it was a great show last night. It was great that Bayley got her moment, the Owens/Zayn match was amazing, and the main event was pretty good and wasn't entirely predictable.

The Orton segment was good, I didn't care at all about his Lesnar match before, but after Orton made that steroid jab at him I am now really looking forward to seeing if Lesnar stiffs him now at Summerslam.
