Ed's rhythm playing is loose.
i know it gets a lot of hate, but i really do like hitchhiker joe.epilogue wrote:Hitchhiker is also a great song.
I’m a fan, as wellChris_H_2 wrote:i know it gets a lot of hate, but i really do like hitchhiker joe.epilogue wrote:Hitchhiker is also a great song.
It feels like a lot of later Pearl Jam is chasing Hitchhiker. It's a shame it didn't make Binaural (though that album is pretty great as is) because it just feels like they didn't have the guts to include it and they've regretted it ever since.Chris_H_2 wrote:i know it gets a lot of hate, but i really do like hitchhiker joe.epilogue wrote:Hitchhiker is also a great song.
most probably dont even remember it.epilogue wrote:It feels like a lot of later Pearl Jam is chasing Hitchhiker. I'd love to hear each band member privately talk about this song.

I like the song.
nothing on Gigaton would've been an A-side in PJ's heyday, and that's coming from a fan of Gigaton; I just don't expect heyday material from them anymoreChris_H_2 wrote:if this was written 20 years ago it would've been relegated to a b-side a la hitchhiker

Retrograde > Soon Forget
River Cross > Thumbing my Way
Easy enough. Could probably have included more Riot Act stuff, but I feel it's not always considered heyday era PJ.
if we're saying 20 years ago was their heyday Dance of the Clairvoyants is as good as any single off of binaural or riot act. i dont think superblood wolfwoon is better than grievance, but i like it more than save you.Ms Harmless wrote:nothing on Gigaton would've been an A-side in PJ's heyday, and that's coming from a fan of Gigaton; I just don't expect heyday material from them anymoreChris_H_2 wrote:if this was written 20 years ago it would've been relegated to a b-side a la hitchhiker
