colonoscopy this morning.

3 days prior had to stop taking one of my meds (can restart it tomorrow)

yesterday ate my last meal for the day at 1130 am. from then on only liquids (water).

after walking the dog at 6pm it was time to start the prep. I opted for the pills instead of the liquid. vitamin sized pills and there are 12 of them. drink them with 16 oz of water. take one pill ever two minutes. was also given a nausea pill to take before hand so did.60 minutes later drink 16 more oz of water. after the first hour that is when the rumbling began. 30 minutes after the cup of water drink another. rumbling getting worse. about 15 minutes later its time. probably 10 minutes beffore it begins i feel my mouth fill with saliva and i know im going to throw up. i just pray both dont occur at the same time. thankfully it was one quick dry heave and that was it. a few minutes later i must have sat on the can for a solid 30 minutes just spraying it. flushing every 5 minutes or so. had a reprieve for a few moments but then finished it off. was asleep by 9pm

alarm set for 1am to repeat the process (they call this the polishing system). stomach again rumbles but a little bit quicker than last. by 245 i am done with my water intake and wait for it to begin. didnt take long. not as long lasting since most has been cleaned out.

tried to go back to sleep but it was probably 4am and i had to get up at 530 to shower and be on my way. got there at 630am and was home by 9. the anesthesia put me out like a light and when i came to my brother was in my room when the dr came in to talk to me. before he said anything i said to him, " just so you know i just tooted". he looked at me and thanked me for that information where as my brother was struggling to stop from laughing. i thought after surgeries/procedures tooting was a good sign all was ok. oh well, i can say i literally came to about 2 minutes before saying this.

i think i lost about 4 lbs through the process. its not as terrible as people make it out to be but not sure id recommend doing once a month like some people do

After mine the nurse wouldn't let me leave until she could push down on my stomach and fart. Longest fart I've ever had in my life.

I know I told this story here before but my favorite part was afterwards starting to wake up in the room with everyone basically getting donkey punched from the nurses and farting..I think the lady next to me had a fart that was over 20 seconds..

Poops have been a bit inconsistent recently, but dropped a nice one today. 2 much wiping though.

I think the puking might be from the pills. I wasn't given the option and had to drink a ton of liquid. never got nauseous though, just very poopy.

i had two sets of pills. i took the nausea pills with the first batch to be on the safe side. it was very brief (nausea) so i didnt bother with the second batch

another thing that made me nervous was when they put the IV in and the nurse requested help getting the air bubble out
