True, but I have no problem whatsoever with it being in the discussion on some level. It's fantastic.
My favourite PJ album (Vitalogy or No Code, depending on the day) is the best album of the 90s just by virtue of being by PJ.

This album is just a more intricate look at the song Once.

The backseat lover on the side of the road left her real man sleeping by himself.

There's a bomb in his temple and it's gonna explode, killing a snake as collateral damage.

He's got a sixteen gauge buried under his clothes and he prays the rosary; when he's done he stores them on a plate.

I'll admit, the first time I heard Habit as the b-side to the Who You Are single, it was a bit jarring. But man does that fucker grow on you. Jack's drumming is so intense on that track.

I think Vitalogy holds a much stronger place in the discussion of the best album of the 90's than No Code does. It's my personal second favorite album of the 90's, and I could see critically putting it in the top ten for the decade as well.

Isn't there another new song to reveal other than LB?

Double awesome! Not only is this the one rumored title that I was really hoping was true but also, by not getting a new song title, OTE is still on the table folks!

I might really start thinking this album will be decent if it's OTE.

MYM isn't as special as anything on No Code, neither is FD or LB.
I mean the whole package.
Look at the elements separately - and they are just a bunch of polaroids, nothing special, eh
And songs. The whole package includes the songs.
I like MYM more than at least half of no code. not that this will surprise anyone

theplatypus wrote:"Habit" is a fantastic song that belongs in No Code. No Code is by far my favorite Pearl Jam album. It's not the best album of the 90s.
Agreed with all of this.
