Oh man, I LOVED Skyfall.
I was let down by Bond's origin. I had it in my head that he had the polar opposite upbringing. I thought he was a street rat from a extremely disfunctional family not Bruce Wayne. I also was a little let down that they made him JAMES BOND and that the name wasn't associated with 007 which could have established that the old movies were somewhat cannon. That and I knew as soon as they went so out of their way to show that R.Finnes was such a stand up guy that
Spoiler: show
M was as good as dead.
Banging the sex slave was an odd choice too.

Yeah, Skyfall was boring. Sam Mendes didnt have a clue of how to direct an accion scene. The setup was cool but nothing else was.

The stupidity of the decisions being made by the main characters made in that movie, mixed with the hilarious "we made this up as we wrote it, and never looked back to see if any of it made any sense" unfolding of the villain's scheme once they got to London, just made it a big bag of meh for me.

Falling hundreds of feet after being shot was unnecessarily over-the-top, to the point where it took me out of the story. Also, "James Bond in: Home Alone" was a really weird third act, and I have no idea why anybody thought it was a good idea to tell us anything about that character's past.

Yeah I don't know why they do those unbelievable falls in movies. It's like in Temple of Doom they jump out of the plane in a boat and they film it in such a way that it's believable enough but then they decide to have them fall off a 8000 foot mountain into rapids. Even when I was 8 I groaned. Still a great movie though.

In Cold Blood (1967)

The Year of Living Dangerously (1982)

I'm looking forward to the latter. Love me some young, hot Mel

disregarding his overt hatred towards gays/women/humans that aren't mel gibson, and looking just at the movie roles I'm familiar with of his, I'd say he's no great shakes.

the mad max movies: meh - although I thought the scenery etc was cool in thunderdome back in the 80s.
braveheart - ugh. terrible, and it went on FOREVER.
the jesus movie - yeah, because I want to roll around in his self righteous Catholicism with him
what women want - not.
the early one where he plays a mentally retarded person - well suited for the role anyway
the patriot - yeah, because I want to roll around in his self righteous patriotism with him
lethal weapon - his was ok i guess.
ransom - meh
man without a face - look! it's mel gibson trying to act!

sorry, randy, just another hollywood actor guy to me.
