Look, the one thing I can credit Abrams with is that he's a good actor's director. He gets performances great enough that the stories he tells aren't worthy of them. That's already a step up from the prequels.

I did a pretty good job of staying away last week. It's only when I get bored that I look for things to do on the Red Mosquito, and there's not a lot going on here right now.

Oh I know it's true. I despise those movies. II and III are bad, but not on the same level. And I like Episode I.

But, as you referenced in your original post, I'm something of a Trek "purist," if that's how you want to phrase it. Or...phase it.
