If Luke's first line is "who are you?" to Rey, this may bode well for theories that she isn't a Skywalker and possibly could be the daughter of someone else we may know in the SW universe.

Honestly the idea that she's a Solo was idiotic since she met both Han and Leia and the idea of a 'monk' having a kid is strange enough. So a Kenobi? That's fine by me.

she isn't his kid which makes it so much more interesting while opening up the world even more. If she is a kenobi it won't take away from it being a 'skywalker' saga anyway. I hear them kenobi's play kind of a central role.

The old Jedi, sure. Unless he did some serious fact-finding and found some old relics, I don't think that ghost Obi or ghost Yoda or even ghost Anakin told him about that stuff.

Jedi dogma among the many rules said no attachment.

Luke had nobody to teach him these rules.
