It's not about elitist thinking. For me it's about how it was 1. built up in TFA, 2. poorly handled in TLJ, 3. Constantly a topic in the two movies.

Leaving it like this is poor storytelling.

i know we've battled over this enough but i goddamn love that it was built up in TFA and i think the (hopeful) true reveal in TLJ was even more epic than "Oh yea you are a kenobi or skywalker"
