Someone mentioned that they brought Palpatine back because dumbass Johnson killed off Snoke and they still need a big bad to fill the role. Plus, nostalgia. Makes sense.

That's an aristocratic take. Now you're thinking correctly.

It will take a lot of effort to be that bad, but J J can do it.

It's not that her parents have to be Skywalkers, although that would fit in well in the Skywalker Saga. And it is certainly not that great people can't come from poor parents. It's not about elitist thinking. For me it's about how it was 1. built up in TFA, 2. poorly handled in TLJ, 3. Constantly a topic in the two movies.
Leaving it like this is poor storytelling.

i know we've battled over this enough but i goddamn love that it was built up in TFA and i think the (hopeful) true reveal in TLJ was even more epic than "Oh yea you are a kenobi or skywalker"

It would be Interesting, Emotional and Entertaining to see her dealing with where she came from and why her parents left her. It would make real genuine motivation for her to lose her shit or be greatly inspired for revenge etc.

That’s not how life works
Hitler's parents were very special.
Not at all.
Father: Alois Hitler was born illegitimately, and his paternity was never established. In early 1869, Hitler had an affair with Thekla Penz (born September 24, 1844) of Leopoldstein, Arbesbach in the district of Zwettel, Lower Austria. This led to the birth of Theresia Penz on October 31, 1869.
Mother: Born in the Austrian village of Spital, Weitra, Waldviertel, Austrian Empire her father was Johann Baptist Pölzl and her mother was Johanna Hiedler. Klara came from old peasant stock, was hard-working, energetic, pious, and conscientious. According to the family physician, Dr. Eduard Bloch, she was a very quiet, sweet, and affectionate woman.

It can refer to Anakin, Luke, Leia, Kylo, Rey and Skywalker as a name of the new "Jedi". Or several of the above.

Everyone is a Skywalker. It's about inclusivity with Kennedy at the helm. That's the message.
