Pretty much. And I'm not very handy (read: an idiot) so fixing whatever is wrong turns into a big task.
Same.

My setup isn't all that fancy yet. I'm still a beginner. But I like the maintenance so far. I'm sure I'll regret posting that sometime with the next year. I'm so fucking stupid about shit that it will beat me one of these days. And I'll cry.

Switched the speaker wires. Now I'm listening to Sticky Fingers panning to the left and right randomly. Vinyl!! Lol

The right speaker just cut out during Wild Horses. Previously it had been on the left. What does it all mean?!

Fuck tinkering but I did seem to fix the problem as it seemed to be a grounding issue. Either that or some of the deoxit I used to clean with helped. Spun like four records in a row with no issue after messing around.

Make sure your cartridge is tightened down properly.

I was able to order Mark Kozelek's Live at Union Chapel and Sun Kil Moon's Admiral Fell Promises for pretty reasonable prices this week. Seems like some indie record stores are getting random sealed copies to sell. More than I usually spend on new stuff, but these usually go for more than 100 bones.

Ugh. That EP is a huge waste of time.

It's really amazing how much garbage Beck put out in his early days compared to what he actually wrote and recorded. He could probably put out a 3-CD set of early songs that are better than anything he released at the time. I don't understand what his problem is.
