Meh, the Force can do that.

Also why didn’t he put on that ST’s armor to sneak around the facility? I guess Han hasn’t invented that yet.

Ew, he threw that guy in the water. His armor is all wet.

Yes, that was very interesting.
Flawed episode, but it also had some great Kenobi action, old school Star Wars style. I enjoyed it.

I’ve enjoyed it but I really wish he hadn’t fought Vader. It totally guts the line from the first movie.

The moment with Obi Wan watching all those dead jedi being displayed...man, that was fucking awesome.
Its safe to bet they are already experimenting at that stage for the clone emperor?

If Obi Wan kills Vader that's really going to screw up A New Hope.

Maybe Reid was right, maybe this isn’t canon!

Use your B squad on a new one-off Star Wars property if you’re desperate for streaming content, Disney. Stop fucking around with what should be your prestige tent poles.
Did John Williams forbid them from using his music for this series?
I genuinely don't mean this to be snarky or dismissive or anything like that -- I respect the hell out of you and I've often loved your takes on TV shows in the past. But why are you continuing to watch the series at this point? It seems like it's not offering you anything of value. I'm curious what's keeping you going.

No worries. I'm a die hard Star Wars fan that's used to consuming any and all of its onscreen content. I keep waiting for some great moments to come out of this as if the creative crew will suddenly get their heads out of their asses. It's just inexplicable to me that they screwed up what should've been a slam dunk this badly.
Ultimately, I vent about it here because, for better or worse, the Internet is a good outlet for it. Yelling this stuff at my dog isn't as effective. She keeps leaving the room.

Cool. I gotcha. That makes total sense to me. Thanks for the response.
I hope you are getting moments out of this, even just small things from time to time. And maybe the final two episodes will deliver something magical for you. I hope so. I never want the die-hard fans to be disappointed.

I'll go back to what I posted right before it started: my one hope was that it would be good enough to prevent me from nitpicking any little facet I didn't like and going into a rant spiral where I begin to actively hate the property. There have been plenty of shows I love where the limited budget shows or there is some shaky storytelling or a bad acting performance here or there. But if the total package and storytelling is compelling enough, that stuff becomes much easier to ignore. I wish that were the case here.

Yeah, man, I totally feel you here. I'm not having the same experience with this show but I have had it with other shows, even shows a lot of people love.
But Star Wars is massive. Maybe this one doesn't work for you, but there will be other stories. I'd hate for this to ruin the whole thing for you. Which I don't think it will. I look forward to the day when we can have a LOST-esque Star Wars show --- by which I mean a SW show that both you and I love and adore and want to discuss on the same level. That was true of LOST but I wasn't really posting on RM with you while that was happening.
I'd love to have that shared experience together. I always appreciate your takes. Even when I disagree.
