Yeah, each state oversees their elections here, so you’re gonna have some differences between them. Just on the east coast tonight, you’re gonna see some polls close at 6:30, some at 7, most by 8:00. Some states have to count the ballots by hand, some just use machines. In some states, mail-in ballots are accepted if they are postmarked by Election Day, so they might not arrive and be counted until later this week. Some states you can go to the polls and register to vote day-of. Some states require you to show ID, some do not. I am sure that all sounds bonkers.

All paper ballots at my location this morning. That's a change from '22.

My wife arrived at the moment the polls opened, lines were too long, now we’ll both have to go after work. Not a swing state, but some contentious local elections might be driving turnout.

Next time I will be a single issue voter and it will be whomever implements these federal spending contribution breakdowns here:
