We'll wait till phil posts his leaderboard to do the voting, but if you think you've got someone on your team worthy of winning MOP (and there will be two MOPs, a pitcher and a position player), feel free to start making your case for them. We'll do voting sometime during the semifinals. The voting will be weighted Cy Young Award-style. You can vote for five people, with a first place vote being worth 7 points, a second worth 4, third worth 3, fourth worth 2, and fifth worth 1. Everyone who runs a team gets a vote, but people who run two teams still only get one vote.

Yeah, it's gonna take some unexpected numbers from out of nowhere or some insane convincing for Boston Pedro not to get my first place vote among pitchers.

I do feel like Ed Cicotte is worthy of a third (or maybe even second) place vote. A 3.06 ERA in this league is pretty stellar, and with 10 wins, he accounted for my than a third of my team's victories. His 1.183 WHIP is pretty good for this league too.

I think Luke Appling and Joe Jackson are worthy of appearing on some MOP ballots, but I can't honestly say either deserves a first place vote.

ERA under 3, WHIP under 1, K/9 over 10, K/BB over 5. BAA almost .2

Single digit wins but who the fuck cares?

How many guys even ended up with 10+ wins? The number can't be that high.

Silver King had a good year. Top 5 pitcher, maybe, idk. Only 1 HR in 124 2/3 IP. 3.1 ERA.

O'Neill and Hornsby are my dynamic duo, and I'd give my 1st place vote to Tip as of now.

Pedro would have had 10 wins if Papelbon didn't completely shit the bed in game 2.

Without going back and looking at the stats, the guys that I am right now thinking will contend for spots on my ballot are Boston Pedro, Gregg, Tiant, King, Luque, and Cicotte.

I tried to respond to something in the Walking Dead thread and it gave me a Malware Warnings. This thread however is a safe place.

Boston Pedro for overall MVP, not just pitching.

Voila. If you download it, it should be easily sortable. Blue means qualified, red means non-qualified for rate stat categories.

And yeah, Boston Pedro really has no competition for top pitcher.

He should definitely get consideration, but there are some pretty amazing offensive seasons, too.

Agreed with Pedro for MVP. Especially with all the great hitters.

Guys, there is no MVP. To exclude pitchers from the MVP debate is exactly why Lament made a pitcher and hitter award, not an "mvp"

so yeah.

First of all, amazing job on the leaderboard Phil. That great.

It's crazy after all .400 talk and posturing only 1 qualified guy hit it.

I think that we should have 5 man ballots for each award, 10 pts for first, 7 for second, 5 for third, 3 for 4th and 1 for 5th.

MOP Top 5:
Spoiler: show
1. O'Neill
2. Ruth
3. Cash
4. Mantle
5. Hornsby

MOP Pitcher Top 5:
Spoiler: show
1. Boston Pedro
2. Gregg
3. Ciccotte
4. Tiant
5. MTL Pedro
