I tried watching the replay last night but they didn't start it until 1am. The CNN talking heads had like three hours of post debate stupidity on instead of getting right to it. I kept expecting Fox Theater security to come into the screen and drag Anderson Cooper away.

Conservatives: We wish the Democrats would focus more on moderate candidates, and reject socialism.

Also Conservatives: We’ll call it socialism no matter who or what they go with.

If they're going to steal Mayor Pete's only good debate line, you should at least give him a writing credit.

I definitely think America is stupid enough to elect Princess Good Vibes. I don't think Williamson is that candidate, she doesn't quite have the profile of Trump (i.e. I know him from the TV!) and she's not forceful enough to cut through the centrist back-to-normal vs. structural change debate happening right now. But the idea of having a science-denying leftish Dem nominee, with a base of both noodle-brained yoga moms and start-up coffee bros, who appears to overcome that kind of materialist debate (which the broader American public has no appetite for nor any real ability to coherently navigate) with a "paradigm shift" is absolutely conceivable. Especially if Trump wins in 2020.

Trying to debate which Simpsons quote to reference, Lisa Simpson's poem about Snowball I ("she died, she died!") or Ralph's "my cat's breath smells like cat food".

There definitely are a sizeable number of these people in this country.

Bernie clapped his cheeks in front of the nation and now he's going to double down on being weak? Bold strategy.

Hot take: A Trunp win in 2020 would secure Democratic victory at every election afterwards

I wouldn't want to be the next president. We're way overdue for a recession, and probably a bad one.
