Breath of the Wild sequel in development!
Same. I haven't seen anything that excited me.Monkey_Driven wrote:I have to say, I'm pretty underwhelmed by the announcements coming out of E3 this year.
I'm excited to play a lot of previously announced games, but very few of the new announcements.mf wrote:Same. I haven't seen anything that excited me.Monkey_Driven wrote:I have to say, I'm pretty underwhelmed by the announcements coming out of E3 this year.
I'm intrigued by Elden Ring based on the names involved, and i'm cautiously optimistic about the new Star Wars based on the gameplay demoed. Death Stranding still looks weird as hell and i'm not sure i can hop on board with another Kojima melodrama cut-scene fest - but i'm definitely curious. I guess it's somewhat telling that Sony didn't feel compelled to make an appearance.Monkey_Driven wrote:I'm excited to play a lot of previously announced games, but very few of the new announcements.mf wrote:Same. Sony's absence said everything. Both Microsoft and Sony are really gearing up for next gen and it just too early to announce anything of note.mf wrote:I'm intrigued by Elden Ring based on the names involved, and i'm cautiously optimistic about the new Star Wars based on the gameplay demoed. I've been following Jason's reaction to the game. Metroid influences can only help.tragabigzanda wrote:MD, your response?

Anyone who saw the glimpse of Respawn’s upcoming Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order at E3 earlier this month and thought it was disappointingly linear may be far more interested in this new footage, which demonstrates more of the game’s Metroidy influences.

EA and Star Wars carries a lot of baggage that bogs down the overall excitement. I think it will be a good game given the pedigree of Respawn. It just looks like it needs more polish and refinement.tragabigzanda wrote:Man I don’t get the negative pushback to this. I think it looks like a blast. The robot sidekick rules and the environments and SFX all seem on-point. Seems like a good mix of exploration + hacky slashy, without a big emphasis on open world stuff (which I like right now). Looks like a modern update on Shadows of the Empire. Can’t wait.
