New EODM, DS, Queens and something else on the (distant) horizon. Sounds like the Queens record would be very late 2015 at best.

I might be ambivalent about their last few records but these guys sure are a motherfucker of a singles band.

I threw this together for the car this week and it slays:

If Only
The Lost Art of Keeping a Secret
Monsters in the Parasol
Feel Good Hit of the Summer
No One Knows
Go with the Flow
First it Giveth
Little Sister
In My Head
Burn the Witch
Sick, Sick, Sick
3's & 7's
Make It wit Chu
My God is the Sun
I Sat by the Ocean

No Smooth Sailing? :(

I debated including both Everybody Knows That You're Insane and Smooth Sailing but my understanding is neither were 'official' singles, only radio promos.

(Also, I'm just not that keen on Smooth Sailing - or anything else on ...Like Clockwork.)

Agreed (or, at least, he once did).

Get back to the robot rock, Josh.

Yeah, the lines are blurred on what even constitutes a 'single' in this digital age. Those two songs did have proper music videos made for them though (Smooth Sailing was quite entertaining :nice:).

After the 'cinematic' quality of LC I'd really like to see Josh return to the robot rock too :bammer:

Yeah, I'd debated using that as a yardstick too but then the tracklisting would've ballooned.

I decided to go with something that was super concise and along the lines of what I'd hope an official release of this kind might look like.

Amen :bammer:

I'd actually really love to see Josh strip the band back to a three-piece, just the bare essentials and nothing more.

LC was not queens of the stone age. I discount it from their catalog.

LC was pretty good. Definitely the best since SFtD.

I suspect that the bare minimum for this band would be a four piece.

Once the initial interest waned, my opinion of the album plummeted.

I now think it's their worst by some margin.

I'm kind of with you on this. I still like it quite a bit, but it's definitely their worst. Some great songs, but still.
