I believe that was their aim for Backspacer, but I feel they missed the mark by about a mile.

A No Code or Binaural type turn on this album would be a good one. I want something that aims higher and pushes the boundaries.

Mainstream radio is nothing to aim for these days...it's a graveyard of mediocrity.

That last sentence hit the nail on the head. Back when PJ weren't trying to write radio friendly tracks, they were making their best music. Let's hope the last couple of albums have got it out of their system, and they just want to make fan albums again.

I then forgot all about this place until a few months ago, when I was trawling for new details on the next album. I found the '10th album rumours' thread (that from memory morphed and merged a couple of times ). After reading stalking it for so long, I decided to join in on the fun. So, here I am.
