To finish my sentence:

It's a joke, Dime, about Trump being impeached and/or resigning and Pence being 46.

I figured it was and thought the OP rather optimistic but they might just trigger article 25 close of business today just to fuck with him.

Live in hope.

The irony is that due to Trump inciting the storming of the Capitol two weeks ago, more people than ever will be watching the Inauguration on Wednesday and it will garner the highest ratings ever for a presidential inauguration.

I’ll be watching to celebrate the end of this insane era and welcome with a warm heart the era of Malarkey!

And it’s nice to the point of weaponised smugness to have an Irish American President who has made it clear he’s not Putting up with a moment of the brits bullshit with regards brexit or screwing with the good Friday agreement and peace on this island :)

Bring on the Malarkey!!!

This oughta be a fight
The first honorary bill from Senate Democrats in the 117th Congress will be the For the People Act, a Democratic aide confirms to me. It will be announced Tuesday by Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.), the incoming majority leader, and Sen. Jeff Merkley (D-Ore.), its lead sponsor.

The new bill would dramatically broaden voting access. It would require states to implement automatic voter registration, extensive early voting and same-day registration. It would restrict efforts by states to place suppressive hurdles on voting and vote-by-mail.

The bill also seeks to restore protections in the Voting Rights Act that the Supreme Court gutted and to block states from disenfranchising felons. It would require states to adopt independent redistricting commissions, a strike at likely GOP efforts to gerrymander House maps in 2021.

The bill would also implement new disclosure requirements on lobbying and “dark money” spending, and would require presidents and vice presidents to disclose tax returns.
