it's hot.

It’s too fucking hot to walk around Denver so we just drove around to neighborhoods this morning. Not a very impressive town.

The 16th Street Mall is all torn up too, so that’s a bust.

No that was in Vail last month. This is just the tail end of a family trip (with wife’s parents) to Estes Park and RMNP (which were both wonderful). We fly back tomorrow afternoon so we can enjoy the lake home over the weekend.

way back in the day I lived a couple of blocks away from the 16th st mall...it is shit now

I thought it was kinda cool when here several years ago. It’s being rejuvenated now, so it’s like walking through a construction site atm.

We drove out to Sloan’s Lake earlier, went right by Mile High. My Broncos fan wife enjoyed it.

Can’t believe houses are going for $4 million there. Crazy what’s been happening in Denver.

Anyway, I’m currently sitting in a dark, A/C’d room while my kid naps and the rest of the party are downstairs having drinks and charcuterie.

After having the hottest July on record, the last couple of weeks have been mild temps and a lot of rain a week ago, the heat wave that blasted the west has moved this way. Supposed to be in 90s today and only get hotter over the next 6-7 days.

I hate summer.
