I don’t have a counter. I accepted her offer. Then she decided she wanted to think about it.lennytheweedwhacker wrote:Okay, yes.wease wrote:I took it as there wasn’t a decision for her to make because I’d be getting her two-week notice.
But I wouldn't be surprised if she comes back in the morning and says she wants to accept your counter. Are u prepared to respond?
I think he means are you prepared for her to accept your offer after thinking about it. Or are you saying the offer was rescinded because she did not accept it on the spot?wease wrote:I don’t have a counter. I accepted her offer. I (perhaps foolishly) assumed that since she countered my offer, her decision to stay was already decided on. If I accepted, she would stay. She explicitly said this. So if I accept, which I did, what more is there to think about? She set the terms for her to stay and I said ok. Why does she now need to think about it? Wouldn’t that have been done prior to her counter offer? She doesn’t have anything else to accept coming from me as I haven’t offered anything else. And won’t.spike wrote:I think he means are you prepared for her to accept your offer after thinking about it.
