Train Dreams is beautiful. Top 4.

I expected to like F1 more than I did. The narrative is just so goofy and unbelievable. Yes it has great sound design and shit but it has nothing on movies like Ford vs. Ferrari, RUSH and the more recent Ferrari because those stories are the real deal. They essentially Rocky-fied Formula 1 and I am too much of a sperg to let the numerous inaccuracies slide.

I'd rank the three I've seen:

F1
The Secret Agent
One Battle After Another

Did not like the bottom two. I'll probably see Bugonia (and maaaaaybe Marty Supreme) eventually. I doubt I'll ever watch any of the others. Cinema is dead, etc.

Bugonia is amazing and the Plemmons snub is starting to piss me off the more I think about it. :|

3. Bugonia
4. Sentimental Value

5. Frankenstein
6. One Battle After Another

7. Sinners
8. F1

9. Hamnet

Train Dreams was too boring, I couldn't get through it

Why the great opposition to watching Frankenstein?

I dont particulary care for Del Toro and specially him doing something like Franky. I feel there is nothing new there for me, at least for now. Im interested on watching other stuff now.

It doesnt help that Elordi is there and i find him truly bad when he is not on Euphoria.

I think TV killed GDT. All he had was his visuals and ever since he did The Strain, he lost those. All his movies look like TV now. TV has swallowed so many once-good directors - it's a shame.

Sirat was not that good but well done and It Just An Accident started promising but i have yet to finish it.

Cant believe No Other Choice was left out. Super fun and dark and also looked amazing.

I thought I liked del Toro but 30 mins into Frank I realized I just like good movies. Shit was lame.

4. A Big, Bold, Beautiful Journey
5. Sorry, Baby

I’ve now got 150 movies left to watch from 2025. Making good progress now. Most big movies are left, and I will try to make it a final 100 really worth looking forward to.

Highlights so far include Train Dreams, Frankenstein, the John Candy and Chevy Chase documentaries, a documentary from the war in Ukraine, called 2000 Meters to Andriivka, and the movies A Love Like No Other (Sønnike), and The Son Of A Thousand Men.

Have you always hated black people or is it more of a recent development?
