Oh yea i forgot about Johnny GUitar. Love that song
I know I shouldn't talk, like at all, because I like Amongst the Waves so much. But god I do not understand the love for Force of Nature.stip wrote:High Five!!tragabigzanda wrote:I LOVE the Fixer. One of my favorite PJ songs of all time.
also, KD, i agree the album is uneven after that opening run, though Force of Nature is my favorite song on the album

Obviously, I disagree and most everyone else agrees with you. Which is why I said I had no right to talk. My point still stands. I will never understand the love for Force of Nature.dimejinky99 wrote:durdencommatyler wrote:I know I shouldn't talk, like at all, because I like Amongst the Waves so much. Opposite. Force of nature is the best song they've written since Yield.
Amongst the waves fails all over. Too much trying to sound like pearl jam and failing by forcing it. It's play count (only 42 times played) vs unthought knowns play count (123 times)
Makes that point. UK is a truer more natural song to PJ. ATW should be but just isn't.

Ugh, narrative.dimejinky99 wrote:Kevin Davis wrote:Whoa, whoa -- I am fond of "Force of Nature," but best since Yield? Thaf's crazy talk.
Can't keep is the only song coming straight to mind that might challenge that. Either version. Even then it fails against the narrative in force of nature.
And you'd be right.digster wrote:Personally, I'd say every single song on Binaural is better than Force of Nature, for one.
And that includes Writer's Block.digster wrote:Personally, I'd say every single song on Binaural is better than Force of Nature, for one.
correct statement considering Binaural is their best album.digster wrote:Personally, I'd say every single song on Binaural is better than Force of Nature, for one.
Oh my god i hate youBirds in Hell wrote:Binaural was their worst album at the time, until they released the subsequent ones (all of which were worse again), but every song on it is still leagues better than Force of Nature.
