That was so good I had to share it with someone I just met that I'm trying to woo.

If they had plans to quit anytime soon do you think Matt would've left? I think they would've just... quit.

Matt's departure makes me think the band has plans to continue doing their thing for some time.

I'll only accept Dave A. if he's always smoking a cigarette while playing.

I saw a favorite band live in a small club once and the drummer, who was really good, was not just looking at his phone while drumming, but was actively using it/swiping on it and stuff while playing, throughout the show. It was pretty sad.

Was he playing well?

Someone had a crack at Pulp's touring keyboardist for being on his phone mid-set at Glastonbury this year and, from memory, he responded that he was cueing up arrangements for the next song, so it's possible there's a performance-related reason.

I suppose this is possible.

indeed this is super good and is making me realize PJ prob has no chance with Chamberlain

i mean the guy played with PJ for like 30 days and turned them down

if he has reached a point where he can play with peak musicians of this caliber

would he really want to sully his brain with The Fixer and $38 sticker sets ?

Glad folks like the Mehldau! He performed "Bottle Up and Explode" on Morning Becomes Eclectic in the late '90's -- one of my favorite solo performances of his.

Will Krusen be the first and last PJ drummer?
Jeff mentioned not too long ago how he appreciated his drumming on Ten or something like that.
They might just need to close the loop...
Cameron on Drumeo a few months ago, now Dave.
Pure speculation...just saying.

Wasn’t Matt Cameron the drummer on the mamasan demo? I know that doesn’t make him their first drummer, but he was there day one.

Seems like he’s said he wasn’t on all of it. Maybe Friel was on one of the tracks? But yeah he was at least there at the very beginning of the band.

Friel was on black and footsteps. Matt Cam was on all the others.

Krusen sure is letting everybody know he's available. But im afraid he just cant play the non TEN stuff very well. I cant imagine him playing 'Dark Matter', or 'Animal' orso

When they can think of how best to monetize the announcement.
they'll write the name of the new drummer in pompoms on a baseball field or something
