I always make Cornish hens for thanksgiving instead. No forcing myself to eat increasingly diminishing leftovers for days on end that way, plus it's just better than turkey anyway.

for thanksgiving day this year it will be just me and the mrs...I'll be picking up a big order of Thai food..on Saturday our friends are coming over and they are bringing the traditional stuff..hopefully they bring some decent side dishes

You and the Mrs are welcome to come to mine for the holiday if you like. My great-aunt is too old to travel so her family will have the holiday with her this year, and my uncle hurt his back so he's staying home this year, too. We're a relatively small group this year, so we will have more than enough space for you at our table (and in our hearts) if you like. Come on up to the house, doug

Got some premade Cajun butter to inject this year, combined with frying the turkey I think I have fully come around to bring a turkey lover
