that video is directed by ignaty vishnevetsky, a very good critic himself. even if you don't read ignaty's film criticism, his project MUBI is well worth signing up for. (there is an option that costs zip.) the site sends out an e-mail with a film recommendation each day.

Here I am with an internet but no headphones. I'd love dearly to watch that, but I suppose I'll have to wait.

I'm putting down Pynchon in favor of more Steinbeck.

Defending Jacob by William Landay.

Not usually my kinda thing. But I needed a change of pace and this guy is super nice. I hope he wrote a good Crime Thriller. Folks who like such things seem to praise this one highly.
