Rounders is good..i miss John Dahl´s movies. Will wrote:The Thin Red Line and Rounders on HBO.
I fucking loved this movie. I loved how "unClooney" Clooney was. I loved the slow build. I loved the settings. I loved ever shot of this movie. Corbijn could remake Warhol's Sleep and I'd probably love it.EJ wrote:I enjoyed that movie. I hated it. I was on baby duty and looked forward to her crying so I could leave the theater and people watch instead.BurtReynolds wrote:Oz. it was cute. questionable casting choices, but i guess you gotta go with who's hot with these things.
clooney not being clooney was great for 'the descendants' and 'michael clayton' just didn't work here. i liked the pace and vibe of the movie but even clive owen would have been better. my favorite movie of an actor outside his comfort zone and nailing it, is stallone in 'copland'turned2black wrote:I fucking loved this movie. Edit: My wife hated it.
My favorite role like that is Steve Martin in the movie Grand Canyon. He plays a movie producer or director of shlock action movies. He gets shot and in one part of the movie delivers this great speech about how he regrets producing all these violent images. A lot of people think the movie is boring as hell, but I have always loved it and Martin's performance.nah wrote:clooney not being clooney was great for 'the descendants' and 'michael clayton' just didn't work here. i liked the pace and vibe of the movie but even clive owen would have been better. my favorite movie of an actor outside his comfort zone and nailing it, is stallone in 'copland'turned2black wrote:I fucking loved this movie.
