Interesting, and very affordable. I may have to get one of these. What have you made in it?
hot dogs, brats, burgers, chicken. this list would be longer but the building association objected to me using it, and now i no longer have outdoor space. :(

maybe i should just ship it to lenny.
that seriously sucks..any friends with a big green egg?
Spike, go to Binny's, buy a 4-pack of Founder's Breakfast Stout, mail 1 bottle to Doug, and he'll send you his big green egg and a bottle of Pliny the Elder back in return.
I think I'd sell my car before the big green egg
wait, can the big green egg be used indoors or something?
no, I'm just hoping you have friends so you dont lose any grilling techniques and whatnot
oh don't worry, our building has a large, shared rooftop deck with a grill that i can use whenever i want.
You have no friends.
edit
agreed, we can use another thread to discuss my loser-dom. it's paramount we keep this discussion focused on lenny's pork pickle.

Chicken stir-fry with oriental veg. on Udon noodles. I will wing it on the sauce, but I'm leaning towards a lemon and ginger base.

Only had stir fry over rice, but I suppose it's because I've never known what sauce would go well with noodles

Pretty much anything that goes with rice will also go with noodles nicely. (Except for Indian sauces / curries, because they rarely use noodles anyway.)

So straight up stir fry sauce? But I guess I'm looking for something other than regular stir fry sauce, but I'm afraid to experiment

What are you calling stir fry sauce? Anything that is soy sauce-based will be great with noodles. Black bean sauce. Sate (peanut) sauce. Plum / Hoi Sin sauce. Sweet chilli. Really anything Chinese / generally oriental will be eaten with rice or noodles. In the UK we probably have different names for some things but hopefully these are ringing a bell. Maybe have a look at some takeout menus and see what they're adding to noodles.

I MUCH prefer stir fry with Udon noodles -- they taste better than rice and they're packed with protein.

I slathered that thing with salt and pepper and vinegar and lime juice and ginger and garlic and liquid smoke.

I looked at a lot of different recipes and just threw random stuff in. The ginger was in one that called for soy sauce, but I didn't go that route. I use apple juice instead of lime when I do pulled pork with a butt, but thought i'd try something different with this.

White rice with buffalo wing sauce. It's good.
