I'm gonna have nightmares!
Love that song. Someone should make a movie out of it.

RIGHT! I totally agree. It's so vivid and disturbing. That one and How's It Gonna End. Both are so cinematic and terrible in the best way.

Why aren't there more pop songs about grandparents?

"Goodbye Horses" by Q. Lazzarus is one of the greatest pieces of music ever recorded.

I've been listening to a lot of Morrissey lately and it occurred to me that I'm no longer sure which I prefer: his solo work or The Smiths. Thoughts?

I love his solo work, but The Smiths destroy his solo output. The Smiths destroy most output by any entity ever.

Anybody else ever find themselves reassessing their favorite artists' work from time to time? For example, I put on Do Make Say Think's self-titled debut a couple days back and realized that it's better than I ever gave it credit for. It's a different animal than the rest of their albums, which I've always liked more, but it holds its own in terms of quality. I look forward to hopefully getting a lot more enjoyment out of that one from now on.

"Specialist" is one of Interpol's best songs, and it never even made it onto an album.

My daughter has been bingeing on The Brady Bunch lately and I must say I really enjoy the funky take on the theme they use for the end credit sequence. Gets my attention every time.
