Whoever said that this is paced like a comic book is exactly right. This feels like I just read a 6 issue 'Age of Ultron story in the Avengers.

I had a really good time overall. It did drag in places. The robot army is overly familiar at this point. The sense of discovery that you had in Avengers isn't there. But I really enjoyed Ultron, Vision was cool, as was Scarlet Witch, and the final battle, while not as cool as the battle of NY, was really well done, and the 'another aerial battle' complaint misses the mark. That's not what this was, and it was set up really nicely in the film. Nothing lazy about it (well, the robot army maybe).

The emphasis on saving civilians (as a top priority for a team of superheroes) was a nice touch. Has Weedon indicated that it was a fuck you to superman?

I would have liked slower pacing for the character development moments, but on the other hand the actual fight choreography really took into account that these are people who know and work well with each other.
It really dragged the 2nd time I saw it, especially the Black Widow/Banner scenes. i just found those pointless, pretty much figuring by the end of the movie Hulk was going to be gone from the team. (they so should have said the plane disappeared either near the island of Madripoor or over the Canadian Rockies just to mess with the fans as a tease to Hulk vs Wolverine!)

you pretty much nailed how I felt though.

its a good movie, and I went into it figuring theres no way it would top Avengers 1

Took the kids to see this over the weekend. It was fun - quite a few things in there which got tidied up a bit too neat for my liking, but for this type of movie it was good

next year is Cap 3 and Dr Strange
followed up by Thor 3 and Black Panther
Guardians 2 and Miss Marvel, and I believe Avengers Infinity Gauntlet 1
course this could now have changed after the deal with Sony and Spider-man

and, theres also
X-men Apocalypse, Deadpool, and Gambit all next year
and the last Hugh Jackman Wolverine movie in 2016 (so he says as of right now)

i like all 3 iron man movies (i know 2 is flawed but i don't hate it)...i loved the winter soldier, thought the first one started out well, but fell apart in the second half...the thor's are okay, but don't do much for me

spiderman is a mixed bag - i liked the first one, loved the second, the third was a huge misstep...i didn't care that much for the amazing spiderman part 1, but am one of the few who kinda liked part 2 (probably due to low expectations)

x-men 1 and 2 are solid, 3 is pretty much garbage as are the wolverine stand alone movies...first class was very good, and days of future past was solid but a little overrated

okay i'm tired of typing

I'm docking you a letter grade, lenny. I thought this was fantastic. Better than the first.

I would have joss whedon's baby if he was so gracious. He is magic.

Yeah it kinda runs if the rails at the end, but that's alright.

I feel sorry for the guy who has to wrangle all these characters in the next one.
Spoiler: show
"none of this makes any sense". lol. The frisbee line was great too. Ultron in general was pretty funny.

Isn't that like every super hero movie ever made?

I wanted to see the X-men movie with Fassbender, but I flaked out.
