The vocal line there and the guitar chords behind it are honestly one of the coolest moments in the entire catalog, especially when the bridge goes into the stripped down pre-chorus. Just awesome. I think this is the best album of the later years by far, Life Wasted is probably the best opener in their entire catalog. Maybe Go but something about Life Wasted I just love.
I enjoyed this song anyway, but today I really enjoyed it.

Also, I'd forgotten how Matt drums the hell out of Marker. It's great.
 It really is. Great feeling and build, and the chorus works. It may be too light/catchy for some but rhythmically it works (this is a 5* track for me).

Matt is all over this album mostly in a good way. Great drumming on pretty much all the upbeat tracks. Not sold on the verses of Gone but I'm not a fan of that song.

Tracks 1-8 of this album is a really good strong run up there with their best runs.

Yeah those are really good.

I just listened to Big Wave (hey I like that track) and the performance is immense. Everybody is strong, especially Ed. Sure the lyrics may lack here and there and the riff is pretty simple but the performance is there. I'd take this over LB: the song everday.

Big wave is another song that the lyrics ruined for me.

Along with Riot.. This is their weakest album. The only songs that are PJ worthy are Life Wasted, Marker.. And Army Reserve. The rest are junk , bordering on awful. Seriously can someone ex plain wtf are Severed Hand and Comatose supposed to be? And Gone is the worst 'single' they've released. Comeback is good also.

There is a lot of wrong in this post but I can't be bothered to pick it all out.

Surely we don't have to write 'IMO' all the time? Anyway my feelings are strong with all the things I wrote so obviously your taste of PJ music is different than mine.

The crowd noise is on the bootlegs, you can only work with what's already there.
