The NFL's exposed itself as complete hypocrites for years of being draconian against point spreads, but have no qualms at all on allowing these websites that are just glorified gambling.

Is there any dumber position name in sports than 'three technique'?

I read this post exactly when Collinsworth said this term yet again. I also endorse this post.

Bummer the Lions lost but it wouldn't be a Sunday without a Lions loss.

This TD by Abdullah was sweet. Made Eric Weddle look lost.

So Jason Garret doesn't believe in clock management?

Apparently Tom Coughlin doesn't either.

Last minute drives in the NFL piss me off. How can a team just abandon everything on defense and allow that shit to happen?

Yeah, blown away they threw the ball on third down.

Terrible playcall by the coaches, but Eli's smart enough to know he should have taken the sack there instead of throw it away. In a game of multiple meltdowns the Giants made the worse one.

Collinsworth talking up Coughlin right before the third down pass made it even better

I don't see how it's dumb, but I'm a hardcore football nerd, so I guess I wouldn't.

Maybe dumb is the wrong word but I cringe when I hear pundits and announcers use it.

I don't see what else you call it though. Rushing DT I guess? It's a very descriptive term, just like 5-tech, 9-tech, etc.

I see what you're saying, I like them being descriptive though I guess. Like you could just say Jimmy Graham is a Tight End, but he pretty much only catches and blocks horribly, so "Move TE" is more specific. Aaron Donald and Vince Wikfork are both DT's but they're very different players.

So far I like the new PAT rule. Although I saw in one game yesterday after a penalty one kicker had a 48 yard PAT. Lol.
