Vs. as low as 9? I can take being mocked as the example of idiotic posting, but this is going too far. I quit RM!

I gave Vs. 17 points

Yes you did, and I did record your score correctly, so all the averages are correct. I must have missed it when I glanced through the scores looking for the second highest.
Vs. got my top spot, I'm not surprised to see it in sixth, though. There are skips on this album, but it has high highs and holds a special place in my heart.

B, this is going to get worse before it gets better.

Go
Animal
Daughter
Rearviewmirror
Indifference
Elderly Woman, too!
that's a top 6 that will stack against any record, including Ten and Vitalogy
Man I used to love Indifference so much...and then I saw it live...with the lights on...and that song has just never been the same for me.
Yeah...I can't really speak to older versions of the song, and how those played in the room, but when I saw them do Indifference, it just seemed so, for lack of a better term, deflated. It just doesn't seem to work as a closer, at least in the way they want it to.

4/5, would any positions have changed if outliers were removed (say a score over 25 or a 0)?

If you replace LV's 40 with a 20, vs. still scores a 10.6.

Ask me again when it's all over. For now I'll say that Vs. would have been 6th either way. Vs. was about 100 points ahead of Riot Act, so the 40 points didn't make a difference in the rankings. If he had given it 47 points instead, it would have been #5, though.

Backspacer was really hurt by the number of "0" scores, but it's hard to call that an outlier since it was the mode, if I'm not mistaken. But if 0's were eliminated Backspacer would have beaten Lightning Bolt.

I figured, but a zero is an overly precious score. I'm more interested in whether or not an abnormally high score skewed something in the top 5-6.

if it makes you feel better, if we had decimal points I'd give Backspacer 0.000347. So it isn't nothing.
Mind you it's not better than nothing, but it isn't nothing.

The only real problem with scoring Backspacer 0 is that it leaves you no avenue for scoring LB even lower.

I almost gave Backspacer a 1 for this very reason but that would have been one less point to give to a good record.

Vs is Pearl Jam's best album and now I feel terrible I didn't score it higher (I gave five albums an equal score as I think they're all uniformly excellent).
I'm sorry, Vs.

I can't wait to do this with songs on each album. Get on it Stip.

We should do that and then multiply the average score of each song (after dividing it by the number of songs by album so songs from shorter albums are not affected) and the average score of its album and make a weighted catalog ranking.
