I was 3/4, but like I said, while I voted for DTE, I was kind of rooting for tremor christ

A brief history of RM MMs

So, in my web travels, I happened to have cause to have a glance over the archives, and so I present the definitive March Madness historic results:
2004 - Immortality [Old, old board]
No records exist - this was just mentioned in the 2005 tourney. Immortality beat Black in the final. The 2005 tourney mentions that this was the "first" March Madness.
2005 - I Got Shit
2006 - Black
Voting took place on TSIS, rather than RM.
2007 - Corduroy
Voting took place on TSIS, rather than RM.
2008 - Immortality(2)*
This was a "Song tournament" rather than a March Madness
2009 - Black(2)
2010 - In My Tree*
Again, not a March Madness. Consisted of a 90's tournament (Corduroy won) and a 2000's tournament (Sad won). Top 16 results from each tournament competed in a final tournament, which In My Tree won.
2011 - NO COMPETITION
2012 - Tremor Christ
2013 - NO COMPETITION
2014 - Insignificance
2015 - Do the Evolution
2016 - Hail, Hail, you bastards.

So In My Tree DID win one year. I was counting any of the major tournaments.

Wait, can someone clarify the 2010 results. What did In My Tree win? If Corduroy won the 90s tournament, then.... ?
I'm super confused.

Or wait... top results of each tournament (90s & 00s) competed in a third tournament and In My Tree won that? Interesting. That does ring a bell actually now that I sit and think about it.
Yay In My Tree!

so that doesn't really count then for IMT.

So "In My Tree" is overrated.

In 2010, IMT lost out to eventual winner Corduroy in the quarterfinals of the 90's tournament and beat Fatal, Porch, Not For You, Immortality and Corduroy to win the overall competition.

RM was RM back in 2010.

This was a "Song tournament" rather than a March Madness
What does this mean? Not every song was included?

Wow, good detective work Norm!
So the irony is that stip's "typo" on the original final 8 bracket, which had In My Tree listed instead of I Got Shit, was actually correct after all. I expect the necessary reparations to be paid to IMT, as well as inclusion in next year's champs bracket.

the last 7 winners, whoever they may be.

So expecting a Hail Hail vs Immortality final, next year's champs bracket would look like this:
If Hail Hail wins:
1. Hail Hail
2. Do the Evolution
3. Insignificance
4. Tremor Christ
5. In My Tree
6. Black (2x winner)
7. Immortality (2x winner)
If Immortality wins:
1. Immortality (3x winner)
2. Do the Evolution
3. Insignificance
4. Tremor Christ
5. In My Tree
6. Black (2x winner)
7. Corduroy

no the IMT win wasn't a full tourney. It doesn't belong there.

It was exactly the same thing, but didn't take place in March.
